About the Confucius Institute at Autonomous University of Yucatan
The Confucius Institute at Autonomous University of Yucatan (CI-UADY) was open in 2007 after UADY signed an agreement with Hanban. Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) is its partner university. The Confucius Institute is located in the city of Merida, Mexico. It offers Chinese language classes and promote Chinese culture in the community. It is also one of the two HSK testing centers in Mexico. When the Confucius Institute was just open, only several students enrolled into its classes.
